Discover Calonge i Sant Antoni!

Discover medieval Calonge, with its exceptional historic quarter: wander the porticoed street of Càcul, the squares Plaça de la Doma and Plaça Major, discover the castle, which is a fully integrated part of the town, all with the added pleasure of perusing the numerous bookshops to be found in Calonge Poble de Llibres, Catalonia’s first Book Town. Head even further into Calonge’s ancient past with a tour of the many dolmens in the Vall de Ruàs, as well as the Iberian town of Castellbarri. If you enjoy a country ramble, a large expanse of vineyards awaits you in the Conca del Tinar, where you can learn about the two ways of making Calonge wine; that used by the region’s wineries to produce their DO Empordà wine, and the traditional technique still used on local farms to make vi de pagès, or farmer’s wine.

In Sant Antoni, a long sandy beach bids you and yours welcome, offering services, such as a Baby Area, providing everything you need to enjoy a day at the beach with the youngest members of the family, or the Kid’s Beach Club, where children can get in some quality playtime with monitors in a specially designated area on the sand. In the summer, with the Estiu Actiu activities programme, the little ones have over 500 activities to choose from, all specially designed for them (and for you!). But if a quiet swim is more up your street, you only have to walk a few metres along Camí de Ronda to find the perfect spot at one of the coves hidden among the rocks. Cala Roques Planes, Racó de les Dones, Racó dels Homes, Cala del Forn, Cala Cristus – Ses Torretes. Sant Antoni also provides glimpses of the past, with the Puig Ses Forques Dolmen and the Benedictine convent and shrine of Santa Maria del Mar in Collet.
